Step 1: Collection the useful information of root router
1Before starting the procedure, be make sure that you must
have the right information regarding your product like LAN IP, encryption type,
SSID, passphrase
Step 2: Just assign the Static IP address to your MAC
computer
Provide the static IP to your MAC computer
1.
Just connect your computer or laptop using an
Ethernet cable with the range extender. And turn off airport from the root

Just assign the manual IP address to your
computer which is 192.168.0.x and it must be matched with the range extender
3.
Just click on the Apple icon or menu and select
system preferences
4.
After this, just search for the network and
click on the option of Internet and wireless
5.
Select click on the option of Ethernet and
select the option of manually and fill up IP address which may be 192.168.0.100
and enter the details of the subnet mask which may be 255.255.255.0 and then
click on the apply button.
Step 3: Configure the range extender; we have taken
TL-WA830RE as an example
1.
Just logon to your range extender account and
move to the extender’s management page

Now click on the option of network, please note
down that IP of the range extender with match with the root router this help
you in avoiding the problem of IP conflict.

Just reconfigure your MAC computer address and
logon to the range management page.
4.
Now, move to the section of Wireless-wireless
settings and select the operation mode as range extender and then click on the
search button and proceed.
5.
Before proceeding to the option of connect, just
make selection of SSID and now click on the save button.
6.
Now move to the section of wireless à wireless security
page. On this page, just select WPA-PSK
or WPA2-PSK and select encryption as AES and fillup the password. Click save
7.
Go to System Tool à
reboot page. To test this follow System toolsà
Diagnostic enter the router’s IP address and click on the start button
8.
After this go to the Network à Ethernet select IPv4
back using DHCP
